    The City´s Last Noise

The City?s Last Noise is a musical project born in Barcelona among 2005 and 2006, created in order to explore new channels of sonic creation and expression in experimental rock.

Their conception of music is based on freedom and experimentation regarding composition and interpretation, and its departure point is the mixture of all influences gathered by its five members. Music is treated as a living, changing form, able to generate and express emotions.

With this background idea in mind, The City?s Last Noise has developed their trademark sound, which is a puzzle of evocative sonorities, textures and structures.

Even if the band has five members, it all begun among musical sketches and experimentation between Mari Martínez (guitar) and Jerry de Pablo (vocals). On top of those sketches, precise outlines were drawn by Jorge Mur (Bass Guitar), Tristan Ibáñez (Keyboard) and Guillem Ramis (Drums). Ideas begun flowing among them, and shortly after, a creative relation was born. The band was transformed into a team with its own artistic goals, with the idea of reinventing themselves in each song as their only recipe.

In January 2008, the formation consolidated itself. Their sound became more and more mature each show, and the enthusiast reception among the diverse audience they have faced so far led them to the recording of their first demo at Blind Records (Sidonie, Sol Lagarto, Cat People?). Its three tracks are about the boundaries of human consciousness and its relation with its immediate surroundings. It shows the band?s influencies and interests in classical, tribal and electronic music.

After that, the band played several shows in Barcelona (in halls like Apolo or Sidecar). They also performed in other citys like Vic and Madrid, and won the music contests Samsung Rock&Call, Vicsona and GoBlind. They are right now getting redy to record their first LP under the label Warner Music in February, due to september 2009.
